Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bell Bottom’ also stars Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta in key roles. Directed by Ranjit Tewari, it will be the first film to release in theatres after the second wave of coronvirus.
Meanwhile, while interacting with the media earlier, Akshay reacted to the hilarious memes made on him after Neeraj Chopra clinched gold at the Tokyo Olympics. When Akshay was asked about how does it feel when his name comes up every time the country achieves something, followed by people asking him to do a biopic on the topic. The actor was all smiles as he replied, “I think it’s very funny. I also saw that picture of mine where I am holding a stick. That still is from my film ‘Saugandh’ and it was really funny. My wife (Twinkle Khanna) also sent it to me, and I told her that I had seen it earlier (laughs)”. Neeraj Chopra recently also said that if at all a biopic was to be made on him, Akshay Kumar should essay his role. When we asked Akshay about his thoughts on this, he quipped, “I think he is a very good looking and handsome man. If my biopic comes up, he should do it (laughs)”.
‘Bell Bottom’ is set to release on August 19.
