Farhan Akhtar is all set to win hearts all over again with his upcoming film ‘Toofan’. Amid all the promotions for the film, the actor recently opened up about a question from the first press conference of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag that he ‘never forgot’. Farhan, recalling about the press conference, confessed how a journalist asked director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra why a ‘Punjabi actor’ was not cast in the film.

In a recent chat show, Farhan shared, during the announcement of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, at the very first press conference, a journalist asked his director Rakeysh, ‘How come you cast Farhan in this film? Why didn’t you take some Punjabi actors only? How will he do it?’

Adding to that, Rakeysh had his belief, answered on his behalf and said why he chose to work with him on Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Farhan then shared how that particular question fuelled him so much during the making of that film, that why should anyone have this question about someone. The actor also shared, feeling judged with the question.

‘Toofaan’ is Farhan’s second collaboration with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. In the movie, he essays the role of a boxer in the film. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Darshan Kumar in pivotal roles and has been slated for an OTT release.
