NCB: Certain incorrect information has been shared on social media regarding Sameer Wankhede – Times of India

Recently, NCP leader Nawab Malik claimed NCB‘s Sameer Wankhede was specifically brought in to the agency by the Central government after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput last year. He also alleged that Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was implicated in a “fake case” by the NCB.

Now, NCB has issued a press note with a factual position on certain information on social media regarding the Zonal director. “Certain incorrect information has been shared in social media regarding Sameer Wankhede, lRS, Zonal Director, Mumbai Zonal Unit of NCB,” reads the press note.

“After Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide, a special officer was brought in to the NCB. The suicide case was handed over the CBI, but the mystery over his suicide or murder remains unresolved. But, after that, the NCB started playing games with the film industry,” Mr. Malik claimed.

Speaking about the Aryan Khan drug case, the Special NDPS Court rejected his bail plea, along with other accused- Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha. Post that, Khan approached the Bombay High Court seeking bail in connection with the drugs case.

Today, the NCB officials visited Aryan’s home Mannat. Giving an update about the visit, NCB Zonal Director told ANI, “NCB team visited Shah Rukh Khan’s residence to collect some documents related to Aryan Khan. No raids were conducted at Mannat. It was just a procedural requirement.”
