Poonam Dhillon remembers the time when she played scrabble with Dilip Kumar on set, says he would make up his own words – Times of India

Dilip Kumar’s sudden demise has left a void in the hearts of his fans that can never be filled. His co-star Poonam Dhillon recently reminisced about the time when they used to huddle on the set to play scrabble.

Sharing the same with a news portal, Poonam reportedly said that on the sets of their film, ‘Karma’, they would huddle together to play scrabble. She revealed that sometimes Dilip Kumar would use words that were challenging to comprehend. Naseeruddin Shah, who was also a part of the film, would bust him saying that’s not a word. According to Poonam, the legendary actor would make up words. The actress added that he was adorable and his child-like quality wooed them all.

The veteran actress also went on to add that even though there were actors like Naseeruddin and Jackie Shroff on the set, it was Dilip Kumar saab they all revered. According to her, he was somebody who never carried the weight of his stardom. In fact, she revealed that she would often tell filmmaker Yash Chopra that Dilip Kumar doesn’t even realise how big a star he is. According to her, he was very down to earth.

The actress added that she feels fortunate that she has known him. Dhillon also revealed that when his son Anmol was going to make his debut in film, she gave him Dilip saab’s films to watch. According to her, he was an institution who will continue to inspire others.

Dilip Kumar left for his heavenly abode on July 7 and is survived by his wife Saira Banu.
