Raj Kundra pornography case: Property Cell summons director of Armsprime – Times of India

Raj Kundra’s company Armsprime is currently under investigation and the Mumbai crime branch has summoned the firm’s director for questioning. According to ANI, Saurabh Kushwaha, the director of Armprime Medi Private Limited has been called in for questioning for his connection in the pornography case. Previously, Raj Kundra had reportedly stated said that in 2019, he sold ‘Hotshots’ app for 25,000 US dollars and formed another company, Armsprime Media.

Currently Raj Kundra is in judicial custody, after he was arrested for alleged production and distribution of pornographic content. His lawyers have termed his arrest as illegal and moved the High Court. On July 31, Raj Kundra’s matter was heard in the Bombay High Court in connection to the pornography case. Public prosecutor Aruna Pai had informed the HC that the 45-year-old businessman was arrested because he had started deleting WhatsApp groups and chats, thus ‘destroying evidence’. It was further revealed that the Mumbai crime branch had seized 51 pornographic films from two apps, reportedly Hotshots and Bolly Fame.

Recently, Shilpa Shetty had issued a statement on social media, breaking silence for the first time ever since her husband was arrested. The actress had shared, “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family. MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf.” She further expressed complete faith in the Mumbai Police and the judiciary, “Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never complain, never explain”. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary. As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same. I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyamev Jayate! With Positivity and Gratitude, Shilpa Shetty Kundra”.
