Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara begin 10-day shooting for Atlee’s film in Pune – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan has begun the shooting of South director Atlee’s film in Pune. According to sources the unit will be shooting for about 10 days and then the crew will shift to film city in Mumbai. Reportedly, the film has a lavish budget and will accordingly be made on a grand scale.

After completing this brief schedule, SRK will go on to shoot for director Raju Hirani’s film while Atlee will continue shooting with the other members of the cast. The young filmmaker is most recognized for his Tamil-thriller ‘Mersal’ from 2017, which featured Vijay, Samantha, Nithya Menen and Kajal Aggarwal.

Shah Rukh and Atlee met during the IPL in Chennai and that’s where they first planned to work together. The actor was keen on working with the filmmaker, but wanted an original script. Atlee has been working on the pre- production for quite sometime in Mumbai and qas stationed at a hotel close to SRK’s home.

Reportedly, the film will feature SRK in a complex role. The movie also features South actress Nayanthara as the female lead and Rana Daggubati is likely to play a negative role. Nayanthara has worked with filmmaker Atlee before on the 2019 sports drama ‘Bigil’.
