Tokyo Paralympics 2020: Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and other celebs laud Sumit Antil for winning gold – Times of India

After Avani Lekhara, it’s now India’s Paralympic athlete Sumit Antil who has made Indian proud by bagging the second gold medal for India. Sumit’s big win in the Men’s Javelin throw F64 final event at the Tokyo Paralympics is currently being celebrated across the nation, including the Bollywood celebs who have taken to their social media handles to express their joy as they cheer for the Paralympic Gold-winner.

A sports enthusiast-actor, Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter and congratulated the athlete. Sharing an image of Sumit, he wrote, “A force to reckon with! Congratulations, ‘#SumitAntil,’ for winning a ‘#gold medal’ and taking ‘#TokyoParalympics’ by storm with a world record in ‘#JavelinThrow.’ ‘#Paralympics.'”

Akshay Kumar shared, “Yet another #Gold for India! Heartiest congratulations #SumitAntil on the record-breaking throw What a brilliant performance. We are so proud of you. #Paralympics #Tokyo2020.”

Calling Sumit’s win “glorious”, Preity Zinta cheered virtually, ”A #Gold medal and a world record! Congrats #SumitAntil on your glorious win! #ProudIndian #Tokyoparalympics2020 #Tokyo2020 #ting”.

Anil Kapoor, on the other hand, celebrated the second victorious gold for India by saying, ”Another for !! Congratulations #SumitAntil!!! #TokyoParalympics.”
