Who is Anupam Tripathi? Here’s all you need to know about the Indian actor who plays a Pakistani in the Korean series ‘Squid Game’ – Times of India

Korean series ‘Squid Game’ is earning much popularity on the internet and the show features an interesting Indian connection. Born in India, actor Anupam Tripathi has been earning much praise for his act in the K-Drama. He plays the role of Ali, a Pakistan based migrant worker in the series. The 32-year-old actor reportedly moved to Korea in 2010 and has featured in several Korean TV and films.

Anupam Tripathi reported earned a scholarship from Korea National University of Arts (KARTs) before hitting the jackpot with his performance in ‘Squid Game’. Interestingly, Anupam made a guest appearance in the Korean film ‘Ode to My Father’, whose Hindi remake titled ‘Bharat’ featured Salman Khan in the lead. Expressing gratitude for the massive popularity he has received because of this series, Anupam had shared on social media, “It feels like a dream”, No words to express my gratitude to the people all over the world, who all are loving and blessing Ali and Squidgame 🙂 Thank you to all. In an interview Anupam Tripathi had revealed that his father came from a middle-class family in India bad believed that Anupam should study, get a job and earn money. In 2017, Anupam lost his father. With the success of ‘Squid Game’, the actor revealed that his mother and brothers are proud of him.
